To the home of Lifestyle by Design, located at 2363 McIntyre St, just across College Avenue from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. The handsome 1926-vintage house is a mixture of Regency and Georgian styles aptly displayed in the impressive classic front entrance. The home was built for Dr. William Thomson, a Regina physician who served on Regina’s City Council in 1907-08 and later, on the Public school Board.

He was influential in the construction of Regina’s first incinerator, a bylaw required that milk be pasteurized and sold in glass bottles and the development of the first hygiene program in western Canada. As a doctor, he played a role in the building of the Regina General Hospital as well as the purchase of Regina’s first x-ray machine.

It is fitting; therefore that a house which has a history of being the home of people who care about the future of others be space for Lifestyle by Design.
